Reminders

Reminders about approved medications being brought to Washington:

  1. All medications come from home, including epipens and inhalers.
  2. All medication should be labeled and in appropriate bottles.
  3. Only bring what may be needed for the trip, i.e., travel-sized ibuprofen/Tylenol, or if it is a daily medication, only bring the number needed while on the trip, such as 3 tabs.
  4. If your child is not carrying and self-administering, medications can be dropped off at the OMS nurse's office during the school day on Monday, 5/12/25. Thereafter, they can be handed to an adult at luggage drop-off the night of 5/12/25 (between 5-8 PM), or the morning of 5/13/25.

Monday, May 12 — Luggage Drop-off

  • Luggage is to be dropped off to the OMS lower gym between 5 & 8 PM.
  • Each trip participant is allowed 1 suitcase (or a large duffle bag) for their clothing, toiletries, etc.
  • Luggage will be searched during the drop-off.
  • Bus specific color-coded luggage tags will be available.
  • All luggage will be locked in the lower gym overnight.

Tuesday, May 13 — Departure Procedures

  • Families are asked to park in either the OMS south lot or at the Christ Community Church.
  • Trip participants should arrive to OMS between 5:45 & 6 AM.
  • Trip participants are to report to the OMS cafeteria with their carry-on bag, bag lunch, and a small blanket and pillow. The carry-on bag should contain everything that is needed for the bus ride; suitcases will not be accessible until hotel check-in.
  • Carry-on bags will be searched prior to trip participants being dismissed to take their belongings with them to retrieve their suitcases and board the buses.
  • Families are welcome to stay and see their child off.
